Here's an Emu Egg I carved. There's no paint on this egg, when you cut into an Emu Egg, it reveals 3 different colors. The outside is dark blue, under that is a lighter blue, and just before you puncture through the egg, it turns white.  Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

You actually can carve chicken eggs, but the shell is real thin and the same color throughout. The only thing you can do is carve through the shell. I haven't done it yet. So far I've only done the one above and I also did an ostrich egg. Ostrich egg shells are amazingly thick, but also only one color. I'll post a pic of it some day.

Hey Ponyboy, Sorry, I haven't looked at this thread in a long time. I have to admit, that I didn't come up with the dolphin art myself, I saw it somewhere and used it when I carved the egg. But as for what else I do, there's pics of a guitar I made somewhere on this site, also, I do a lot of wood work and I'm currently carving gourds. I'll post some pics of them eventually. Plus, I carve fake pumpkins at halloween. So, maybe I'll put up a couple of them too.
