Carvings Etc. By St. Thal

I've had a couple people ask if I've done any other carvings, etc, lately. Here's a few things I've made. Hope you like them.



Here's the Emu Egg Lighthouse that I posted on another thread. Everyone asks if I painted it.... there is no paint on this egg. The outside of the egg is a dark blue, when you carve into it, it becomes light blue, then just before you break through the shell it turns white. So you can create a picture with the three colors by regulating how deep you carve into the egg.

This one I call the Greek Box. It's supposed to resemble Greek Architecture, but as you can see in the picture below this one, the top comes off and there's a box underneath.

This one is an Osterich Egg. I had to freehand the design on it before I carved it. This one took some time away from Runescape.... lol.

This one is made out of the wood from a Rose Tree that my Brother In-Law cut down. I made the frame from the logs and the background is from strips of the logs that I planed down to size, then pieced together. The rest is made of different tropical woods that I carved then glued together. The, 'rocks,' at the bottom are the Knots that you end up with when you prune a rose tree.

Thanks Gator, I did that one for my wife. She's nuts about lighthouses.
